Allen House A Chevron Trivet
The Allen House, that Frank Lloyd Wright considered âamong my bestâ, is one of his last Prairie houses. The home simultaneously recalls the early houses of the period and preludes Wrightâs Usonian style of the 1930âs. Wright designed the home while working on the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo and the square structure, with its enclosed lily pool and garden, has a notably Japanese aesthetic.
Complimenting the rich exterior are equally sumptuous interiors of art glass windows, bookcase doors, and masonry wall joints covered in gold leaf.
